Donna Sweetman - Director

Donna started her career in travel in 1987 at Claims International. She then moved to Home & Overseas where, during her 10 years there, she held various roles and responsibilities, latterly as Assistant Underwriting Manager, before joining TIA (CGNU's Travel Division) in 1998 as Underwriting Manager. During her time at TIA, she also held the position of Chairman of the Travel Underwriter's Group. Donna joined Optimum in 2001and is now responsible for the day to day management and development of the business.

Mike Brayne - Manager & Compliance manager

Mike has over 39 years of insurance experience at both branch and head office levels. He is a FCII, Chartered Insurer, and a past president of the Cheltenham Insurance Institute. Prior to being a founder of Optimum Underwriting Ltd in 1999, he was the Underwriting Manager of Home & Overseas, one of the two largest travel insurance companies in the UK. Within Optimum, he has held various roles and since the introduction of FSA regulation has been Optimum's compliance officer, whilst continuing to be involved in underwriting and the management of the business
